Challenge
A global firm with a patented clean-label corn starch technology developed in China sought entry into the U.S. market, localization of its supply chain, and access to USDA 9003 loan and grant funding—all while meeting strict federal and regulatory standards.

Scaling the North Face — Financing Circular Fuel with Cross-Border Partners
Challenge
DD Biofuel, a Canadian cleantech company, aimed to develop a facility that converts dairy processing waste into ethanol in partnership with Michigan Milk Producers Association, a U.S.-based dairy co-op.
The project required navigating binational regulations, structuring USDA financing, and securing a critical offtake agreement—without which progress had stalled.

QuantaVision provided end-to-end strategic support, including preparation of a USDA-aligned feasibility study and guidance on REAP loan requirements. We also brokered a pivotal connection with LanzaJet, securing the project’s offtake agreement and enabling further commercialization efforts.

Challenge
A U.S.-based agribusiness set out to develop a high-tech greenhouse to meet growing demand for fresh, year-round produce.
The project needed USDA funding, clear environmental metrics, and an investor-aligned business case to address utility volatility, food security, and long-term capital formation.

Rooted in Resilience — Commercializing Guayule for Sustainable Rubber
Challenge
Bridgestone sought to develop a sustainable, domestic alternative to imported hevea rubber by commercializing guayule—a heat-tolerant, drought-resistant plant that produces natural rubber. The project required a rigorous feasibility analysis to validate commercialization potential, assess market viability, and guide investment strategy while addressing global supply chain risks, technical challenges, and sustainability targets.
Our Role
QuantaVision served as an independent advisor to conduct a comprehensive feasibility study and gap analysis for Bridgestone’s guayule-to-rubber initiative. Our team evaluated economic, technical, market, and financial viability, including sensitivity testing, site analysis, and co-product revenue streams.
We identified key development milestones, investment requirements, and strategies for mitigating risks related to water availability, crop transition, and market timing.
Result
Bridgestone Management Team gained a clear roadmap for scaling guayule into a commercially viable domestic rubber source. The study supported internal decision-making, stakeholder engagement, and reinforced the project’s alignment with regenerative agriculture, supply chain resilience, and climate adaptation goals.
Churning Toward the Future — Modernizing Dairy Infrastructure for Regional Impact
Challenge
MDVA, a 900-member dairy cooperative serving the mid-Atlantic and southeastern U.S., faced a strategic need: to expand into the high-growth ultra-pasteurized (UP) milk segment to stay competitive and increase returns to its members.
Their challenge was multifaceted—acquiring an underutilized HP Hood facility in Philadelphia, securing federal financing, upgrading infrastructure, and navigating USDA loan requirements. At the same time, they needed to demonstrate environmental benefits and manage stakeholder coordination while entering a premium market space.
Our Role
QuantaVision served as MDVA’s independent feasibility consultant and strategic advisor. We conducted a comprehensive USDA-compliant feasibility study that evaluated the project's economic, technical, financial, and market viability. Our team assessed supply chain resilience, labor and permitting readiness, risk mitigation strategies, and sustainability alignment, supporting MDVA's USDA Food Supply Chain and B&I loan applications
Additionally, we highlighted how the acquisition would allow MDVA to expand its Maola brand, deliver greater shelf stability, and integrate sustainability metrics into both the business case and loan justification.
Result
With our support, MDVA secured over $50 million in public-private financing—including USDA-backed loans—positioning the HP Hood facility for rapid renovation and market re-entry. The upgraded plant will expand production from 10M to 25M gallons annually, enabling UP milk, cream, lactose-free, and high-protein products.
The project retains 166 jobs, strengthens access to local dairy markets, and enhances regional food security. Most importantly, it empowers member-owners to move up the value chain with premium products, proving how rural cooperatives can scale innovation while maintaining community roots and responsible business values.
Flight Plan to the Future — Redefining Renewable Refining with USDA Support
Challenge
New Rise Renewables (NRRR), based in Nevada, originally secured a USDA 9003 Loan Guarantee to support the development of a renewable diesel production facility. As market dynamics evolved and demand for Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) surged, NRRR identified a strategic opportunity to retrofit its existing operation to produce SAF.
This transition required not only technical modifications and certification alignment, but also a restructured business strategy and continued federal engagement to ensure long-term viability and regulatory compliance.
Our Role
QuantaVision supported NRRR from the outset—first by providing the USDA-aligned feasibility study and strategic consulting for the loan for the renewable diesel facility through to financial close. When the company decided to pivot to SAF production, we also served as a grantwriter and strategic consultant for the conversion project.
Result
NRRR successfully repositioned its facility from renewable diesel to SAF production. NRRR is now poised to meet growing SAF demand while maintaining its commitment to renewable energy leadership and regulatory excellence.
Growing Beyond the Horizon — Cultivating Sustainable Innovation with Indoor Ag
Challenge
Oishii, a pioneer in vertical farming, sought to expand its operations with a new climate-controlled facility in New Jersey to meet growing demand for its premium Omakase and Koyo strawberries. The project required validation through a USDA-aligned feasibility study to support energy efficiency financing and investor confidence, while also showcasing a scalable business model rooted in environmental innovation.
Our Role
QuantaVision conducted a feasibility study, analyzing economic, market, technical, financial, and management factors. We evaluated energy use, ROI, automation, and sustainability outcomes while aligning the project with USDA funding criteria. In addition to producing detailed financial projections, we advised leadership on strategic positioning to support both funding and long-term operational goals.

Challenge
Colony Energy Partners aimed to expand its innovative organics-to-energy platform by developing a large-scale landfill gas to renewable natural gas project in California. The project required significant capital, robust financial modeling, and a feasibility assessment aligned with USDA loan requirements and California’s stringent environmental and waste management regulations.
Our Role
QuantaVision conducted a comprehensive feasibility study tailored to USDA program eligibility, including detailed financial modeling, site analysis, feedstock assessments, and revenue forecasts.
